Summit Talent — Terms and Conditions

This document is an operational draft for Summit Talent. It has **not** been reviewed by a qualified solicitor and should **not** be relied upon as final legal advice. Kevin has decided to post these drafts now and obtain solicitor review after publication. A qualified lawyer familiar with UK consumer contract law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) should still review them.

1. Who We Are

Summit Talent ("**we**", "**us**", "**our**") is the trading name of **Summit Talent Consulting Ltd**, a company registered in England and Wales under Companies House number **17065247**.

We provide AI-augmented career coaching services, including CV and cover letter rewriting, interview preparation, and 1:1 coaching, to individual clients ("**you**", "**the client**") and, in future, to organisations ("**business clients**") for outplacement support.

By purchasing or using any Summit Talent service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("**Terms**"). If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use our services.

2. Services We Offer

Summit Talent currently offers, and may expand to offer, the following services:

  1. **AI-Assisted CV and Cover Letter Rewrite** (currently priced at £49) — You provide your existing CV and relevant background information. Our AI tools draft a rewritten CV and/or cover letter, which is then **reviewed by a human before delivery** to you. This is a one-off purchase.
  2. **Interview Coaching Packages** — Structured packages combining AI-assisted preparation materials with live human coaching sessions focused on interview practice and confidence building.
  3. **1:1 Coaching Sessions** — Individual coaching sessions with a human coach, covering career narrative, job search strategy, and related support, sold individually or as part of a package.
  4. **B2B Outplacement Services** (future/planned) — Packages sold to employer organisations to provide career transition support to employees affected by redundancy. These Terms are written primarily for individual (B2C) purchases. A separate B2B services agreement will be needed when that line launches.

We may modify, rename, discontinue, or introduce new service tiers and packages over time. Current pricing and package descriptions are listed on our website and/or provided to you before purchase.

3. The Role of AI in Our Services

  • Our CV/cover letter and coaching preparation materials are produced using AI tools (currently including ChatGPT and/or Gemini, and in future may include AI agents built specifically for Summit Talent).
  • **All AI-generated CV, cover letter, and career narrative content is reviewed by a human member of the Summit Talent team before it is delivered to you.** AI output is a drafting aid, not a replacement for human judgement, and the final product reflects human review and approval.
  • You remain responsible for checking the accuracy of facts, dates, qualifications, and claims in any document before submitting it to an employer. We help you present your experience clearly and honestly, but you must ensure nothing submitted to an employer is inaccurate or misleading.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is required in advance of service delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We currently collect payment via **Tide payment links**, and may use **Wise** for international clients where more convenient (for example, clients based in Brazil and Australia). We may also collect payment via **Stripe**.
  • All prices are listed in **GBP (£)** unless otherwise stated. Prices are currently **not subject to VAT** because Summit Talent Consulting Ltd is under the UK VAT registration threshold. If we become VAT-registered in future, prices and this section will be updated accordingly.
  • International clients are responsible for any currency conversion differences, international transaction fees, or charges applied by their own bank or payment provider.
  • Coaching packages and interview prep packages are paid in full upfront unless we agree a different arrangement with you in writing at the time of purchase. Instalment plans are not currently offered as a standard option.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

5.1 One-off purchases (e.g. CV / Cover Letter Rewrite)

Under UK consumer law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), consumers normally have a 14-day cooling-off right to cancel a service contract. Because our CV rewrite service typically begins quickly after purchase, the following applies:

  • You may cancel for a full refund within **24 hours of purchase**, provided we have not yet started work on your document.
  • Once we have drafted and human-reviewed your CV or cover letter, **no cash refund is available**.
  • If you are not satisfied with the first delivered version, you are entitled to **one free redraft** after providing clear feedback. Further revisions beyond that one free redraft may be charged or declined at our discretion.
  • If you want us to start work within the statutory 14-day cooling-off period, you must give express consent to start. Once the rewritten document has been fully delivered, your right to cancel and receive a refund for that service ends (subject to the one free redraft above).

5.2 Coaching packages and interview prep packages

  • Individual sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least **24 hours' notice**. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be treated as used/forfeited, at our discretion.
  • You may cancel the unused remainder of a coaching package by writing to us. Refunds for unused portions are considered on a pro-rata basis for sessions not yet delivered.
  • No refunds are given for sessions already delivered.

5.3 How to request a cancellation or refund

Refund and cancellation requests must be made in writing to kevin@summittalent.uk. We aim to respond within **5 business days**.

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes

We are committed to providing high-quality, honest career coaching and CV support. However:

  • We do **not** guarantee that you will receive a job offer, an interview invitation, a promotion, or any specific employment outcome as a result of using our services.
  • Hiring decisions are made by third-party employers based on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, the specific role, other candidates, and the employer's own processes.
  • Any testimonials, case studies, or examples of past client outcomes shared by Summit Talent are illustrative only and are not a promise of similar results for you.

7. Intellectual Property

  • **Your content**: You retain full ownership of your personal CV content, work history, career narrative, and any personal information you provide to us. We do not claim ownership over your personal story or professional experience.
  • **Our content**: Summit Talent's coaching methodology, CV/cover letter templates, frameworks, proprietary prompts and AI workflows, training materials, and other business assets remain the exclusive intellectual property of Summit Talent Consulting Ltd. You may use the final CV/cover letter/documents we deliver to you for your personal job search purposes, but you may not resell, redistribute, or repurpose our underlying templates, methodology, or coaching materials as your own product or service.
  • We may use anonymised, aggregated learnings from our work (not your identifiable personal content) to improve our general coaching approach, methodology, and marketing. See the Privacy Policy for how this interacts with your personal data specifically.

8. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information about your work history, qualifications, and experience.
  • Not use our services for any unlawful purpose, including submitting knowingly false information to employers.
  • Treat coaches and staff with respect during sessions; we reserve the right to end a coaching relationship (with a pro-rata refund for undelivered sessions, per Section 5.2) in cases of abusive or inappropriate conduct.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Summit Talent Consulting Ltd's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services provided, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of a job opportunity, or loss of anticipated savings.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
  • We are not liable for the actions, decisions, or hiring practices of third-party employers, recruiters, or organisations you interact with during your job search.

10. Data Protection

Our collection and use of your personal data (including CV content and coaching notes) is described in our separate **Privacy Policy**, which forms part of these Terms. By using our services, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as our services expand (including into B2B outplacement). We will post the current version on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting an active coaching package will be communicated to you directly.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of **England and Wales**. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save that this does not remove any statutory rights you may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country of residence, where applicable (relevant to international clients, e.g. in Brazil or Australia).
